He has participated in numerous international ice sculpting competitions as a sculptor and judge (Lake Louise, Harbin, Turin, Yakutia, etc.). He also successfully organizes ice sculpting competitions in Canada.

earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drawing and painting from the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad University, Iraq. He has been a member of the Canadian Ice Sculptors Association (CICS) since 2005. He has represented the association in ice sculpture championships around the world since 2005.AWARDS:
- 2022 First place in international ice carving competition Winterlude in Ottawa.
- 2023 3rd place award in Winterlude Ice carving competition in Ottawa for sculpture called Sindbad and the Sea Horse.
- 2023 2nd place in Edmonton Ice carving competition on the ice sculpture Ishtar and the Deer.
